Ancient Road Stonestown Drinagh

In June 2021 some former Bord Na Móna workers and local historians came together to discuss the existence of an extensive ancient bog road between Stonestown and Drinagh, near Cloghan. Patrick Keenaghan, Roddy Carroll and Tommy Moody, who between them had worked on the Bord Na Móna bogs for over a hundred years, remembered the uncovering of substantial remains of an old timber road at this location during the 1960s.
