CHARTER OF BANAGHER (1628)

In the barony and county aforesaid, shall from henceforth for ever be a free borough and corporation, and shall be called the borough and town of Banagher; the town to be built and erected in the most convenient part of the said lands; and that in the town there shall be a body politic, consisting of a sovereign, twelve burgesses and free commons of the borough and town.
